While it wasn’t to be for Aaron Hayat and the Galway minors this evening against Roscommon, Maigh Cuilinn GAA is immensely proud to see our club’s next generation breaking into the county setup at such a high level. Despite the loss, Aaron’s involvement shows his dedication and talent.

Aaron, pictured after the game with Dara Walsh and his twin brother Adam, is a key figure in the Galway U17 squad that competed against Roscommon in Round 1 of the National Competition this past Friday evening, April 3rd, 2025.
The match, played at Tuam Stadium, saw Roscommon emerge victorious with a score of 0-15 to Galway’s 0-12.
Despite the result, gaining experience at this level is invaluable for young players like Aaron. The opportunity to play in a Connacht Championship fixture and compete against the best young talent in the province is a significant step in his development.
Galway will now need to beat Sligo to all but confirm a semi-final spot.
Maigh Cuilinn GAA extends its full support to Aaron and the entire Galway Minor squad for the remainder of their campaign. We look forward to seeing Aaron continue to develop and represent both club and county with distinction.
