The GAA Clubhouse Development Plan

The GAA clubs in Moycullen undertook an exciting project at the beginning of 2013.

The clubhouse at Baile Dóite was in need of an upgrade. A new multi-purpose room was built and the plan was that it would be available to all clubs for light-circuit, core strength and conditioning training sessions and meetings. The idea was that it would also be available to facilitate the end-of-season children’s parties and post-match celebrations.

The plan included four fully serviced, high-quality dressing rooms in the existing building. In addition, there was to be a room for referees and upgraded catering facilities.

The project involved refurbishing the existing building and constructing a new building to the side of the existing clubhouse where the current boiler house was located. The intention was to tarmacadam the entire car park.

Ref Room

Following a year and a half of the local community coming together to build, wire, plumb, paint and fit out the building, Páirc Mhaigh Cuilinn was upgraded completely to provide the facility we have there today. Thousands of hours were spent by people from the area and we are very proud of this facility that the community built. It is the envy of many clubs throughout the country

We need to continue to develop this excellent facility One of the initiatives the clubs have undertaken is the Online Lotto. Fund funds have been committed each week to go towards the development of the facilities. You can support the project by logging on to www.moycullenlotto.ie. If you are already a regular lotto player the clubs would like to thank you for your continued support and would ask that you encourage friends and family members to visit www.moycullenlotto.ie and to play online.
