We had to dig incredibly deep to get over the line, but this hard-earned victory sets up a highly anticipated final against Salthill-Knocknacarra in two weeks’ time.

The first half was a stern test, with a determined Tuam Stars side proving efficient in their shooting. A crucial goal from their young star, Cian Mitchell, saw them take a lead into the break, up 1-7 to 0-7.

However, the team rallied magnificently after the restart in a superb display of resolve and accuracy. Our ability to get on top of the Tuam Stars kick-out was a crucial game-changer. We completely turned the tide, kicking a remarkable 11 points from just 14 shots in the second period, proving our clinical edge when it mattered most.

The introduction of Peter Cooke off the bench proved instrumental in the final quarter. Marking his return to club action, Peter showed his class by firing over three crucial points. This included a sensational two-pointer from long range—a vital score in the context of the game—to edge us over the line in a truly tense finish. His composure and quality were essential in securing the one-point triumph.
