Our U7 boys have been having a fantastic season filled with exciting blitzes. Our young footballers, guided by their superb coaches, have been training diligently every Saturday morning from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm, honing their skills and building their love for the game.
Highlights of the season so far include blitzes against St. Michael’s and Barna, both played under beautiful sunny skies. A special moment for the boys was during the Moycullen vs. Annaghdown League match when they had the opportunity to play a blitz amongst themselves on the main pitch at halftime. The experience was made even more memorable by a visit from some senior players who offered words of encouragement.
Training sessions have been a mix of skill development and fun, with birthday celebrations for our summer babies adding to the joyous atmosphere. Senior player Ger Davoren also shared his insights with the team during one of their training sessions, further inspiring these young athletes.
Last week marked another highlight as the U7s received their brand new jerseys, generously sponsored by Corrib Tea Rooms and Accommodation and Olivia Traynor & Co. Solicitors. Members of the senior panel, including captain David Wynne, Galway captain Sean Kelly, Fionn McDonagh, Neill Mulcahy, and Niall Walsh, presented the jerseys to the excited boys. David Wynne’s words of pride for the U7s’ support at senior matches brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
This season has been an unforgettable experience for our U7s, and we’re excited to see them continue to grow and develop. Who knows, we might be witnessing the future stars of Moycullen senior football, circa 2038!
